Why do I need a Club Athlete Membership?

This provides your athlete with Freestyle Canada insurance. This is required before your first day of training with any club

I have a ski pass for my hill already (FUNdamentalz)

If you have a ski pass for the hill,  please contact your local club for discounts

I don't have Skis

You can buy them from a ski shop in your local area or possibly rent them from the ski hill.  Twin tips are preferred for our sport.  Ask our coaches for tips on buying gear!

Is a helmet mandatory

YES!!! No exceptions, certified ski helmets are mandatory in our sport. We are a high impact sport, and accidents do happen. Safety and concussion management and protocol is paramount in our sport.

Who runs the program?

Our Provincial Sports Organization (PSO) Freestyle Manitoba oversees all freestyle events and clubs in Manitoba. Each club in various geographic regions of MB runs their own programs.

Is it Fun

Of course this program is fun - The coaches are extremely engaged with each athlete. Each FUNdamentalz Club will issue a year end report card for each skier.  Our Developmental and Competitive crews with Winnipeg Freeriders also receive personalized end of year reports, and major comp and camp reports.
